So today, :iconbugonisx2:, Jsouth, Prof Sweetwater (its a nickname for those that don't know), and I went to teach 2nd graders about comics. This mainly consists of getting them to draw a 4 panel mad libs style comic. We did superhero comics, having them draw themselves as heroes and fighting a monster that had their best friends. The kids loved it, and what was awesome was after class actually. I had done this once before at the same school, so at the end of this art class, kids from the last time I had been showed up and they were like "JOSH! HOLY CRAP!" All these 3rd graders started swarming me, asking where nat and Kevin were (You guys totally missed out!), and started asking me and the others to sign their yearbooks (Which Nat and I are totally in their activities section).

I was friggin charged man, I didn't expect these kids to remember me from the last time, so it was crazy that they got so excited. We even got hugs from some of the kids and they thanked us for coming.

It was a super awesome time....

Wow, glad you had a rocking time. I guess I better leave teaching to the professionals. Yeah teach 4th graders about matter was not the best experience I ever had. Having not been there but knowing your personality damn I wish I had you as a teacher. hm so what other cards do you hide in your sleeves? What am I going to find you doing the next time?

I never said you were crazy XD My mom was a special ed teacher and a kindergarten teacher....dealing with little kids is something I helped with on tons of occasions :P

I don't think i'd make a good permanent teacher, but I'd be that sub that the kids would be like "AWESOME! We got mr routt today!"

teaching art to kids can be easy....you just gotta let them think that they're in control just enough that they don't realize that you're controlling them XD

As for next time? I plan on making the grand canyon disappear....

Dude. That is so awesome! That reminds me of when I taught a comics class one summer. As much as I complain, Kids are pretty great.

Just because I draw comics doesn't make me two dimensional.
